Job description

Providing comprehensive support to senior team members within ATASS Sports, this is an exciting, fast paced and business critical role. The company is well established, and great importance is placed on maintaining our competitive advantage within the market.

As our Team Coordinator, you will need to absorb as much information as possible to ensure you are always one step ahead and can anticipate the team’s needs. Working closely with multiple departments across the business and within Oxygen House, you will need to deliver an exceptionally high level of administration support.

About us

Our story began in 1998 when Mark Dixon, a university statistics lecturer, decided to set up a one-man-band consultancy, offering statistical modelling and research services. Featuring near the top of a Yellow Pages listing was a priority at the time and led to Mark opting for 'Advanced Training and Statistical Services,' or ATASS for short. Increasingly, his love of football led him to take on more and more sports-related work, and, by 2001, he and a handful of colleagues were working under the new identity of ATASS Sports.

Fast forward 20 years, and the company now boasts one of the largest commercial statistical research teams in Europe and is a leader in the field of the application of statistical modelling in sports. We have created and continue to develop a collection of statistical and mathematical models that allow sporting outcomes to be predicted with unparalleled accuracy.

About where we work
ATASS Sports is based in Oxygen House; our award-winning offices in Exeter where we have a range of on-site facilities that are available to everyone in the Oxygen House team. There’s an outdoor all-weather pitch for netball, football and tennis, an on-site gym offering regular fitness classes, a pool table, a table tennis table and a café serving delicious, local, and organic food. We’re constantly organising events and activities to support our charities and to socialise. Our work is serious but we’re all about having fun while we do it!


About you

You’ll be highly organised, energetic and professional, with the ability to engage and communicate with a wide range of people tactfully and diplomatically. Above all, you’ll be reliable and trustworthy.

Key responsibilities
Reporting to the Executive Assistant, you will help to provide a comprehensive administration service for the business. Duties will include:

  • Monitoring inboxes and dealing with email correspondence, including filtering and – where appropriate – responding to queries.
  • General diary management for company Directors.
  • Coordinating meetings, creating agendas, taking minutes, and ensuring meetings are run in an efficient manner.
  • Coordinating external meetings, including arranging appropriate travel and managing expense claims.
  • Forming productive working relationships with members of the Director Team and Department Managers, assisting with their queries and problems and ensuring swift resolution.
  • Assisting with the organisation of celebratory events as well as other ad hoc events throughout the year.
  • Managing preparation for new starters and supporting recruitment processes.
  • Assisting with the creation of blog articles, social media posts and internal newsletter content.
  • General project management support.
  • Exemplify and promote the values and culture of the company.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality relating to staff, client, and organisation information.
  • Undertake any other duties commensurate with the responsibilities of the post, as requested.


  • Highly literate and numerate with strong problem-solving skills.
  • A self-starter with excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to deliver high quality administrative support and be comfortable developing new ways to work and use technology.
  • Self-motivated, dynamic, and enthusiastic.
  • Proactive and disciplined, with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Able to effectively prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
  • High level of discretion in handling documents and dealing with wider members of the team.
  • Able to focus on what’s best for the team and the wider business, above your own objectives.
  • Highly proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (includes Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).


  • Degree educated with extensive experience in a Team Coordinator or PA role.
  • A passion for sport and keen interest in maths and statistics.
